Fall is coming up pretty soon so that prompted me to write this. How to stay sustainable in all 4 different seasons of the year. For summer, I’ve got a few neat tricks that might save a lot. First off, try to invest in an ac unit for a single room rather than air conditioning everything. For the entirety of the summer, the two main rooms my family resided in had their own ac unit connected to a window. We wouldn’t need to be in any other rooms for long as we were all working until the afternoon where temperatures cooled down. This allowed us to forgo the use of the centralized air conditioning unit that we had and save significant amounts of power not cooling down places we would never visit. Also some things to watch out for are don’t open the fridge to cool down briefly, its going to lead in an overall INCREASE in temperature. Also don’t waste water maintaining a large lawn with sprinklers if you know your area doesn’t get much rain. Although this is more of a general tip its way more apparent in summer. If you have wastewater try watering with that. Or if you aren’t a fan of watering in general then just pave over the lawn with a patio or pebbles which look way better than dead grass.

Spring and Fall are mostly the same. Here in Texas at least it’s the best seasons of the year. Don’t spend too much time inside microregulating temperatures, just open a window and let fresh air and natures perfect little thermo-regulator do the rest. Basically, what I’m trying to say is there’s no need for too much Air conditioning as the temperature outside is pretty perfect already. Side note, if you have free time go outside for a walk or play with friends. Enjoy the good weather while it lasts
For winter you can still apply the only air condition two rooms trick from the summer months except for this time, just use heaters. Sometimes, having thicker blankets while sleeping and wearing more clothing may negate the need for that much air conditioning in the first place, but that’s already a well-known fact. Exercise can keep you healthy and the blood flowing, which makes you less cold essentially. Try running on the treadmill to warm up, it may just work! And for the holiday season, don’t ask for another phone or electronic device every single year. Try to ask for something you aren’t going to throw away after a week and keep for years to come.
